Say Hello to version 0.4!


Happy New Year!


I'm excited to bring you the latest version of Duster, version 0.4! This one took a bit as I started a new job in September, but now I'm rolling and ready to get the update train back on the rails. This also marks a big jump in terms of some content - this will clear the way for version 0.5 and 0.6 (which finishes fleshing out the content, adding the final boss encounter, etc...) and HOPEFULLY puts the game complete sometime this year.

WHATS NEW

-Total overhaul of money! The current price values were getting insane and unrealistic (and unbalanced), so an overhaul was needed.

-DOUBLED The amount of dialogue in game! So much more to see and hear about everywhere you go.

-You can now encounter some of the end game bosses earlier in the game, and unlock interesting dialogue

-Added a coffee item

-added 4 new RARE items that can drop, which are much more powerful than others

-EVERY career now has a weapon to start, except the banker

-Some houses now have fireplaces or stoves you can use

-Added some new item combinations

-Enemy weapons are visible when they're aiming at you

-You can now cook tainted water to purify it

-Updated all the weapon sounds

-Added new ambient tracks

-Made the item dropping effect flashier

-Guided the random NPC outfits a bit more

-Sleeping goes faster

-Wandering traders have a stand now

-Adjusted the spawn rate of "named" items


BUG FIXES

-Fixed a bug with "rotting" items that made rotting totally random or too short

-Fixed several typos throughout the game

-Fixed a bug where "dazed" only lasted a split second

-Fixed a bug with location labels on the map

-Fixed a bug where destinations on a river still made you ford the river (twice)

-Fixed a bug where you lose a quest reward if your inventory is full

-Fixed a bug where crafted items would disappear if your inventory is full.
